25 YEAR WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY FOR SOLAR SYSTEMS

NetZero Solar Inc. (the “Company”) offers a 25-year workmanship warranty on the installation of our solar PV systems and related products. If a system installed by us fails or becomes defective due to errors in our installation services within 25 years, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the affected installation at no cost to you, the Client. This warranty applies to the residential customer named in the solar system installation agreement entered into the company from September 2025. In the event of a property transfer, this warranty is transferable to the new owner of the premises for the balance of the warranty period, on the terms stated in this agreement. The Company agrees to install your solar PV system in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Specifications and ensures that the system will not malfunction due to workmanship errors.7

Scope of the Warranty

This workmanship warranty covers defects arising from the workmanship in installing your solar panels and inverters at the premises specified in the solar system installation agreement. It does not cover the system components, including the performance of panels or inverters, which may be subject to separate manufacturer warranties and statutory protections under law.

  • General Workmanship : Covered for 25 years from the completion date.
  • Switchboard Installation : Covered for 1 year from the installation date.

For the purpose of this warranty, switchboard installation refers to any work performed on your home’s main electrical service panel in order to safely integrate the solar PV system. This may include adding or relocating breakers, installing solar backfeed breakers, upgrading bus bars, modifying wiring, installing disconnects, or configuring subpanels or essential-loads backup panels. Because this work interfaces with pre-existing electrical infrastructure that varies in age and condition, switchboard-related workmanship is covered for one year, while the solar system installation itself remains covered under the full 25-year workmanship warranty.

If the workmanship warranty applies, the Company will, at its sole discretion and cost, either re-do or repair the installation or replace any faulty part not covered by a manufacturer’s warranty with a comparable new or refurbished part, ensuring the installation is no longer defective.

Transferability

This warranty is transferable to subsequent owners of the premises for a $500 administrative fee. This fee offers a 30-minute remote overview of system components, functions, and monitoring capabilities. The new property owner must initiate the transfer within 30 days of date of closing by contacting the Company through the communication channels provided in this document. Failure to transfer the warranty within this period may result in the warranty being void.

Conditions for Warranty Effectiveness

This warranty takes effect once the following conditions are satisfied:

  • The solar PV system is installed and the Certificate of Commissioning has been completed.
  • All outstanding payments are made.

This warranty becomes void if anyone other than the Company, or a person authorized by the Company performs work on the system, including repairs or alterations, or upon failure to comply with reasonable instructions from The Company concerning the system’s operation and care.
